It was AWEEEEESSOMMMEE.
There's something exhilarating about moving with crowds of people whom you know love the same things you do. It's like you're all a part of this esoteric (but not) club sort of thing. OKAY gonna describe my days there. If you don't want to read it, you can skip right down to the pictures I took of all the crap I got haha.
Okay so, time to sound like a real geek.
Day 0, Wednesday night
Preview Night officially started from 6-9PM for 4-day pre-registered attendees, volunteers, and exhibitors only. Me and ~driflooning got there with some friends around 4-ish and the lines were already MONSTROUS. I ended up cutting a group of unsuspecting people (I suck) and it still took 45 minutes to get my badge and sticker.
The exhibit hall was missing some of the usual exhibitors which sucked(Nintendo ditched us this year whyyyyy) but alright. Warner Bros gave out these MONUMENTAL laundry bags (each day in fact) that were at least 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide haha. Freebies are always excellent at Comic-con (sooo much better than AX ahaha), especially at the really big name places like DC, SquareEnix, Gaming Uni, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Fox, WB, etc.
Anyways, I basically went around getting freebies and not taking pictures of cosplayers because I never bring my camera haha. Got an autograph from C.B. Cebulski, which was nice. OKAY BORING. OH BUT. Highlight of the day was seeing HUGE and AWESOME Transformers stickers all over this SUV in the parking garage. It was epic.
Day 2 because I didn't go to Thursday: Friday
Con starts from 9:30. Me and ~phoenixflame63 get there at 7:40 and YES the lines aren't huge yet. So we get our volunteering assignment and wait around until opening time. The mobs at the doors by 9:30 were spilling out onto the street because there were so many people haha. It was rather exciting, but it would've been better if we weren't so close to the smoking areas.
Went in and GOT FREEBIES. AHAHAHAHA. I'M A CHEAPO. 11:30 and my volunteer assignments start. I ended up standing in ballroom 20 (it was huuuuge) guarding the doors during 3 consecutive Stargate panels. My legs and back were going to GIVE OUT considering I had to take all my
Capcom had a whole Street Fighter arcade thing going on but as you might imagine, the LINES were fantastically long so I didn't even line up haha. Also went to Dumbrella booth and SAW THE ARTIST FOR OCTOPUS PIE which was pretty awesome. I also saw Order of the Stick books but they were out of my price range... Penny Arcade was huge as always though haha. I bought 1 thing this day, a Link plush (OHBOY NERD). It was expensive though, just as EVERYTHING at cons are (the food is INSANELY expensive AUGH).
The highlight of the night was the AVATAR PANEL. The line was HUGE and we had an adventure trying to get in. We had to circle the building 3 times before the lines was made clear and even then, we had to zigzag around everywhere. The cool thing was, while we were waiting in line, about 50 billion people were on their DSes pictochatting. Sweet. It was a trend to do a lot of DS to DS activity during the con haha. To read details on the panel, get over to LJ.
Day 3, Saturday
Volunteering from 9 to 12 and did nothing but sit around and hook up badges with lanyards. There were I ton. I managed to make conversation with someone new, ~norinoricat and we talked and stuff. After 12, met up with friends and, oh yeah, GOT MORE FREEBIES. We entered some raffles, struggled through exclusive item lines, and played video games. I also bought socks. They have owls on them.
Sad part of the day; Kinokuniya had The Art of Gyakuten Saiban (both the AJ and PW ones). They were well over 50 dollars each. Guess I'll just keeping using those CR scans for refs ;__;
Once it was 6, we were all tired as heck and went to the hallways to just hang out. Bought coffee and we horsed around with FIRE HAZARDS, yaoi paddles, slappy wristbands, inflatable pokeballs and the like. Friends did cosplay from Naruto, Persona 3, Tegami Bachi, The World Ends with You, MapleStory, Dogs, etc (DORKS).
So yeah. I saw a lot of neat cosplay (FREAKING SAW MIA AND GODOT HECK YEAAHHHH) and got a LOT OF FREE STUFF. I bought 3 things. Link, socks, coffee. The rest were FREE. WOO COMIC-CON. My shoulders are very stiff and my back hurts. :'D
Pictures of my (mostly free) junk OH BOY!
Pretty much ALL OF IT.My bed covers do have colorful cats and stuff on it. There's um, quite a bit of stuff under that pile. P-posters and stuff mostly. I got a stupid paper cut from them and now it scares me to mess with posters.
Close-up 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Shirts and bags and other stuff not pictured haha. Too tired to dig them out.
In other news, To Kill a Mockingbird was EXCELLENT. The ending was fabulous and I could totally write up an analysis, but its summer so I won't. Starting on Jonathan Strange right now and looking FORWARD to it.

But nontheless, the cons are always a great place to talk to people and get a good laugh. And awesome swag and photograpsh of cosplayers. @w@
You should come celebrate my birthday with me on Saturday or something, or after school friday because SATURDAY church has plans and FRIDAY church people are going to knott's berryfarm or something.
;__; EMO
I´m pretty sure she was the only Letter Bee cosplayer around. I hugged her and stuff and glfjd I WAS SO EXCITTED AND HER HAT WAS AMAZING
